Complete soft-start devices of the KUPP

Complete soft-start device (KUVPP) — a device used for the smooth start of asynchronous electric motors with a given characteristic of the load moment, which allows you to keep the parameters of the motor (current, voltage, etc.) within safe limits during start-up. Its application provides a limitation of the rate of rise and the value of the inrush current by gradually increasing the voltage on the stator windings from zero to the nominal value for a given time. This eliminates negative consequences: eliminates jerks in mechanical drives, hydraulic shocks in pipelines, fluctuations in conveyor systems, slipping of wedge-shaped belts, collision of gears in gearboxes and transmission mechanisms, reduces the likelihood of overheating of the engine, which ultimately increases the service life of both the electric motor and its drive.
